• The scholarship application portal was live on PREF’s official website from 1st June to 8th July, 2025.

• Admit cards for the PREF Merit Scholarship Examination were distributed.

• The Computer-Based Test (CBT) was successfully conducted on 27th July in Prayagraj.

• All participating students received e-certificates acknowledging their involvement.

August 2025

• The top 75 scorers in the CBT were invited for interviews held from 11th to 13th August.

• Educational books were distributed to interviewees as a token of appreciation.

September 2025

• The final merit list for PREF Merit Scholarship 2025 was announced, selecting the top 20 students based on combined scores from the CBT, written test, and interview.

• An orientation session for the newly selected scholars (Batch 2025-2027) was held on 14th September.

• Each scholar received a tablet, SIM card for internet access, a PREF bag, stationery kit, and their first scholarship installment to support their participation in PREF’s online programs.

November 2024

• Live career mentoring session  is scheduled for 10th November 2024 at the PREF branch office, Prayagraj. PREF scholars (batch 2024) and their parents are invited to join this session at their scheduled time.

Spoken English sessions, learning, and activities:

• In a total of 40 spoken English classes, students learned sentence framing, correct grammar use and pronunciation, picture description, monologue, storytelling and writing, and one-on-one spoken practice in their day-to-day conversations.

PREF internal test

• PREF conducted an internal test to assess students’ performance and identify the subjects that would work better.

September 2023: PREF scholarship interview and SRT:

• The merit-holder top 76 students were called for the interview round organized on September 13–15, 2023.
• A situation-based test was taken to check the decision-making and problem-solving skills of the students.

 

August 2023: PREF Scholarship Entrance Test 

• Admit cards were released and distributed a week before the examination, i.e., from August 17 to August 20, 2023.
• A CBT-based online PREF scholarship test was conducted on August 27 and 28, 2023.
• A total of 413 students participated in this test. 

 

July 2023: Application for the PREF scholarship examination 

• The online application form for the PREF scholarship test was open from July 16th, 2023, to August 10th, 2023.
• Offline forms were shared with the principles of participating schools and colleges.

 

August 2023: One-Day Principle-Teacher Training Workshop

• On August 13, 2023, PREF organized a principle teacher workshop on ‘New Education Policy 2020’.
• A total of 45 principals and teachers from 16 different schools in Prayagraj district, Uttar Pradesh, attended and benefited from this workshop.

• A get-together program was organized on June 12, 2023.
• Around 50 students from our last batch,  2012–2022 were present in this session.

• Parent – trainer meeting organized by the Swavlamban Project team at the Swavlamban Training Centre to motivate and guide the beneficiaries as well as parents about placement linked skill development training program. The team also discussed about the possible locations were the students can get the job.
• ‘Group Discussion session’ organised at the Swavlamban Training Centre, Karchana, and Allahabad on the topic – “Organized and Unorganized Market Sector”.
• Session on ‘Personality development’ was organized for building self-confidence of beneficiaries at PREF Swavlamban Training

 

July’15

• PREF organized ‘Counselling & Need Assessments’ sessions with our Rural Jobseekers at Swavlamban Training Centre, Karchana in Allahabad dated on 26th July’2015.
• PREF organized Nukkad Natak for 10 days from 20^th’ July – 30^th July’15 for promotion of our Swavlamban Programme in Karchana Block.

 

June’15

• Essay writing competition was organized at the PREF Swavlamban Training centre. The topic for the competition was “Role of Communication & Personality Development in Career”.
• Interview preparation session organised PREF Swavlamban Training centre for the beneficiaries to help the beneficiaries to understanding and give their best in the interviews.

 

May’15

• PREF organized TOT sessions on ‘Mobilization & Communication’ with AROH Foundation, Noida for employees dated on 14^th May & 15^th may, 2015.
• PREF organized Scholarship ‘Tutorial Classes’ for a week from 25^th’May– 1^st June’15 for scholars of Std 12^th for preparation of Board Exam.
